About Lasair Shelties

Welcome to the home of Lasair Shelties. We are Linda and Darrel Byron and we are a small hobby kennel located in the small town of Chemainus, British Columbia. We have been breeding shelties for 25 + years. Our first sheltie was purchased as a pet by our son and from the day he brought that puppy home, we were hooked. Our Kennel is not large as we focus on quality rather than quantity. However it is full of love and by staying small we have the time to spend with each of our dogs on a daily basis. Our goal is to breed shelties that are sound of mind and body and that conform as closely as possible to the CKC Standard for the breed. We breed two to three well planned litters each year. Each of our litters are well researched and raised with the puppies well being first and foremost in mind. Of course not all the puppies can stay with us, for those that don’t my primary concern is to find the right forever home for the puppy. After all as the breeder I brought these puppies into the world and I am responsible for their well being. Please take the time to look through our web site.
